WHAT IS LAUNCH PAD?

Launch Pad is a one day in-person workshop providing you with a tailored website template and support with everything you need to launch the website that same day.

Our professionals help teach you how to use the website, help build it out with your content with guidance on colours, text, images, branding, icons and even a professional portrait photo for your about page and social media.

After the workshop you will you will be in control and confident when it comes to managing your website and online content.

    Alex

    Hi, I'm Alex. I run a branding studio called Bamb which has been designing logos, brand identities, websites and more for 12+ years.

    I started Bamb after being made redundant, and although I didn't realise it at the time, it was the beginning of the biggest positive change in my working life.

    Although Bamb is aimed at established businesses looking for their next step, Launch Pad is perfect for people who want to make a pro-active long term change in their work life, start an idea and see where it goes, earn some additional money, or progress a talent or passion you have.

    Hi, my name is Rory. Like Alex, I'm creatively minded. I spend my time crafting stand-out brands for people with a dream.

    At RoryDotDesign I aim to support ambitious founders that choose to change their 9-5 - which is exactly why i'm excited to be a part of the Launch Pad workshops.

    Usually I give businesses a whole brand to build on, but not everyone needs everything...all at once. Launch Pad is a great first step to get your business online, and simplify the launch of your new venture.




FAQs

  • That's the aim of the whole workshop, to get your website online with enough content to launch with and you having gained the experience you need to build on this workshop in your own time.

    Should we not be able to launch the website due to something out of our control, such as internet outage, a technical issue or suchlike, the day will not be wasted, we can still build up the content we need to publish your website, and will spend the extra time outside of the workshop to support you in going live.

  • Your money simply pays for our time preparing and conducting the workshop. Domain names and the template website are all done in your name and paid for by you, meaning you are in control and have full ownership of your web address and website subscription.

  • Alex and Rory are contactable should you need us, but we aim that even someone who struggles with technology can still get the basics in one day, plus you will have the support available to you through your website template subscription and we are also hopeful that you will have met and gained a support group from the workshop you attended.

  • We want to provide a friendly and relaxed environment for you, so we will cap a workshop at 6 people, however even if you are the only person that signs up for a particular workshop, it will still go ahead and you will enjoy a rare one to one experience with either Alex and/or Rory as we help you build out your website with text and visual content.

  • In principle yes that's fine. We do have to be realistic though and state that we can't launch an ecommerce shop with every product in just one day.

    What we can do is build out the main pages within your website template and one product page.

    You can then duplicate this and build out the rest of your products in your own time with ease.

    Web shops will also need sensitive data added such as credit card and bank connections. This is also something you will have to do in your own time.

    We are there to ensure your site is at a point where it can go live with the essentials, not launch it 100% perfect.

  • The workshop will be held in Eastbourne or the surrounding areas.

    We do sometimes change the venue, however it will always be somewhere you can relax and have access to an internet connection, refreshments and bathroom facilities.

  • Yes, you will need a working laptop or tablet, with a well known browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari.

    You will also need to ensure your laptop is up-to-date and clutter free.

    We are not IT experts, so it is your responsibility to prepare for the workshop so you can get the most out of our time.
